hello !

I am new to this newsgroup and I'm also trying to make a tinc vpn
bridge setup work. I hope you guys can help me. Here is my setup:

C1 --- R1 --- (internet) --- R2 ---- C2

C1 acts as a server. OS is win2000 pro. (named vserver)
C2 acts as a client. OS is win2000 pro. (named vclient)

R1 is the ADSL modem router (DHCP server) for C1 subnet 192.168.1.x.
Internet connection is assigned a static IP address.

R2 is the ADSL modem router (DHCP server) for C2 subnet 192.168.1.x.
Internet connection is assigned a dynamic IP address.

Both routers use port forwarding (UDP 655).

I am setting the forwarding address to C1's NIC address (192.168.1.5).
The IP address of the VPN adapter is manually assigned at 192.168.1.99.
Should I point to the NIC's address or the VPN adapter's address ?

On the client side, C2's NIC address is 192.168.1.101. VPN adapter
address is set manually at 192.168.1.106. Should the router point to
.101 or .106 ?

I have used mode=hub on both sides.

Based on the logs, I am able to establish a connection but I cannot browse
the other side's computers 'My network places'.

Will it be possible to browse 'my network places' and see computers on
both sides ?

If anyone has sample configuration files with a similar setup, please
post. That would be a big help. If anyone has successfully configured
a similar setup, please let me know. It would also be a great help to
know someone has made a similar working setup.

Thanks.

Francisco
