Road Warrior: connecting and loging onto domain

Dear list,

For some small office, I want to use tinc to connect a road warrior to
the office-network. Server is running debian, 2.6 kernel, and provides
logon, file (samba) and mail services to several Windows XP clients. One
user has a laptop and wishes to use it wireless at the office and also
at home.

Anyone familiair with such a setup? Can the user logon to the PDC and
download her roaming profile over the VPN-link? I assume the
drive-mappings will then work as if being on the local network? Maybe
combining this with folder redirection to keep the profile-footprint as
small as possible?

When she connects at the office, working through the VPN is not
desireable. In that case, I would like the laptop to directly connect to
the wlan en login to the PDC. Does this automagically happen when the
VPN-link is shutdown manually?

Sorry for the maybe general questions, I already ran trough the
archives. Missing the big picture here before I dare to go for this option.
