Hi Paul Mansfield, to make the audio work, you need to apply the quirk for
our device,
you can find it in my drive directory
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_uxdqSfzNGwREdxdE1YXzRtR1k ,
it's the sound_click_mini.patch file.
I'm trying to make the mic work, but for now nothing new in that regard.
I suggest you to use an older version of the ucm, the right commit
should be "bytcr-rt5640: allow playback through modem link on SSP0",
for a list of all the commit see here
https://github.com/plbossart/UCM/commits/t100-test/bytcr-rt5640/HiFi
the newer commits introduce in my device some regression:
a strange click like sound on power,
and no right separation of the right and left speaker in the audio test.

I can confirm that with this kernel is not necessary any dsdt patch to make
 the backlight control work, the only thing that is needed is to put:
CONFIG_PWM_LPSS=y
CONFIG_PWM_LPSS_PCI=y
CONFIG_PWM_LPSS_PLATFORM=y
on the kernel config file
