helper script to make a kernel

in order to speed up the process of making a kernel, I thought a bit
of automation would help.

it's a bit rough and ready, but it seems to work

just download it on a 64 bit machine with the appropriate packages
installed (probably into /usr/src), and run it with "bash -x
fetch-stuff-make-kernel.sh"

if you need to build a 32 bit kernel, you'll need to modify the
.config and tweak the script.

amendments and improvements accepted. I'm happy to put this into github.
