kernel 4.9.9 with mika patch

people have reported that kernel 4.9 is stable with the patch provided
by Mika Kuoppala here:

so I built 4.9.9 with that patch and it seemed stable, but when I
loaded the WiFi driver my TCM crashed within seconds, and it crashes
if I boot the kernel.

in case anyone wants to give it a go, the 64 bit kernel packages and
wifi driver are in the usual place

This build is without any patches from the Hadess repo; if I try
applying those patches then the kernel won't build, giving compilation
errors.

I'd be interested to know if it's stable for others, using a separate
wifi adaptor.
