I probably wasn't clear. I save the r8723bs.ko file to my downloads
area with the specific kernel version in the name to distinguish it
from all the others.

when you actually put it into the /lib/modules/`uname
-r`/kernel/drivers/net/wireless directory, it reverts back to the
plain r8723bs.ko file name.
