I've also noticed some month ago that the touchpad switched from PS/2
emulation to proper touchpad functionnality. I think I noticed some
kernel patch that finally implemented the ELAN0800 touchpad, meaning
that it should work correctly (scroll, multi-finger, etc.) in other DE
too.
